FAQ - STUFF YOU NEED TO KNOW

 

Here are some helpful questions and answers -

Do I need to book?

 

Yes, bookings are essential as some weeks we are full capacity.

 

If you are only able to make a certain day/date and we are full, we are able to take your details and call you if we have any cancellations.

 

Please refer to our online booking calendar to check dates that are available located under the BOOK NOW tabs or email waitpingafarm@hotmail.com and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

What days are you open?
 
We are open Mondays, Fridays and Saturdays and Sundays
Tour times are 9AM, 11AM, 1PM and 3PM.
 
During the daylight savings months we also offer a 5pm tour slot. Please enquire when making your booking.
 
During the SA school holidays we are also open Tuesdays and Thursdays
Tour times are as usual.

What do I need to bring?

 

It is a requirement to wear enclosed shoes, long pants and dress appropriately.

​

Your camera if you please as there are stops on the way for photo opportunities.

​

And your will for adventure and excitement!

​

We supply all your safety gear to wear as well as optional wet weather gear if needed.

​

If you have your own helmet of Australian Standard, you are welcome to bring that along if you prefer.

What happens if it is forecasted to rain or it is hot?

If the weather is due to be extreme heat (35 degrees or above) or a Total Fire Ban, we will cancel and reschedule your tour session for the next suitable and available time.

​

This is the same for lightning storms.

 

We are aware this may cause you inconvenience but we care for all our customers safety and want you to have fun!

 

If the forecast is showing rain, we still head out on the track. After all, muddy fun is great fun!

We provide optional wet weather gear if you need.

Can I ride if I’m pregnant?

 

Unfortunately we aren’t able to take pregnant women on tour as a rider due to the nature of risk associated with riding an ATV on bumpy and rocky terrain.

What happens if it turns out I am unable to ride on the day?

If for some reason you feel you cant ride on the day, thats no worries, we have an area in the office with couches and tea and coffee facilities to make you comfortable while you wait for the rest of the group to come back.

My child is under 12, are they able to ride with me?

Unfortunately we arent able to allow passengers on the quad bikes due to insurance reasons.

 

Every customer has their own ATV to ride for the duration of the tour session.

​

We have a passenger buggy where children under 12 can ride alongside an accompanying adult (max 5 passengers) with a guide as your driver.

What do I need to wear?

 

It is recommended you wear enclosed shoes and long pants as well as clothing to suit the weather eg. jacket/jumper if cold and windy.

​

Please wear clothes and shoes you don't mind getting dusty or muddy.

​

Failure to wear enclosed shoes can lead to the guide having the right to refuse you.

 

We have sunscreen available for those hot sunny days and a few coats for colder windy days.

Can I bring food and alcohol?

 

You are welcome to bring food along with you for after your ride.

​

Unfortunately, alcohol is not permitted on site.

Can we race each other?

Unfortunately not as we are a working farm and and are designed to showcase the farm and native fauna and flora and spectacular views while giving you the opportunity to experience riding a quad bike.

We are not a race track.

How can I book passengers in?

 

If you would like to book in passengers on our passenger buggy, you can make a separate booking under the book now tab.

If you aren't able to book it in, please phone or email an enquiry and we can book this in for you.

How can I pay?

You are able to pay by

  • EFTPOS

  • Over the phone by credit card

  • Direct Bank Transfer

  • Cash
